Basswood Cabin is located 23 miles north of Ely on the scenic Echo Trail, which winds from Ely to Crane Lake. It's surrounded by the Superior National Forest with its abundant wildlife, numerous hiking trails and proximity to the famed Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.

This huge five bedroom cabin is the perfect setting for larger groups. All five bedrooms are on one level and have a king-sized bed which can be converted to two twins. It comes with a well stocked kitchen complete with dishwasher including a dining room table that seats twelve. Other features include three full baths, master suite with Jacuzzi, washer/dryer, large family room, big screen with Satellite TV and DVD, cell phone booster for phone service and Internet . The cabin also features a private dock, exceptional privacy, and a large screened-in porch overlooking the lake -- perfect for outdoor barbeques and entertainment, or to enjoy the end of the day watching the spectacular sunsets over Big Lake.

This cabin is as remote as it gets but still has all the modern amenities to make your vacation as comfortable as possible!

Big Lake, 1987 acres, is a scenic lake studded with islands. This lake is one of the DNR’s top-rated walleye lakes and also holds northern pike, smallmouth bass, and perch. No motor-size restrictions.

Basswood Rates are based on 12 guests. Additional guests are $105/week per person. Pre-school children under 5 years old are free. Minimum stay for online booking is 1 week, for shorter stays contact us.
