Boating - What better way to navigate the beautiful Ely area then by boat!  Rent a pontoon and take a leisurely cruise to explore the lake to the fullest!  Stop and picnic on a quiet island, do a little swimming, and head back to the cabin for an evening campfire, enjoying the sunset along the way.  Ely Lodging offers a variety of watercraft rentals to complete your stay.

Snowmobiling - Snowmobiling is a fantastic way to explore this beautiful winter wonderland!  The Ely area offers miles and miles of groomed snowmobile trails for your enjoyment.  Most of our winter cabins are located close to a designated snowmobile trail so you can conveniently hop right on and go!

Cross Country Skiing - Ely has the longest cross country ski season around!  With an average of 84 inches of snowfall each winter, our season can last into April.  There are several area ski trails that are machine groomed or user tracked for your enjoyment.  Truly experience the beauty and peace the winter brings!

Ice Fishing - People visit Ely year round for a fishing experience of a lifetime and catching fish on an ice rod or tip-up can be truly exciting and rewarding!  From early season walleye fishing to nice trout in January and February, and late season crappies, you’re sure to find some great “hard water” action!
